What is Rebrand Black?
Rebrand Black is a series of conversations of black genius and black innovation sponsored by Cadillac. It is a celebration of our thought leaders that drive culture, business, music, tech, sport and economics. Imagine American Culture without black people. In many regards American Culture is Black Culture. The music, the clothes, the style, the creativity and art are influenced and inspired by Black Americans. The Black experience from a historical perspective in America is very painful. Racial injustice in America is more than a 400 year old problem which didn’t start yesterday and won’t be solved in a day. While we have the world’s attention we have to go beyond social media posts to establish sustainable impact and help drive real change. This year’s theme is Rebrand Black (Culture. Business. Tech) which is designed to focus on the racial pandemic that the world is experiencing today. While this year’s Brand Camp Summit will be virtual it will be more intimate and impactful than ever. We are focused on having some uncomfortable conversations.

About_Founder
Hajj Flemings was one of eight entrepreneurs selected for CNN’s Black in America 4: The New Promised Land: Silicon Valley documentary with Soledad O’Brien.
During the filming of that documentary, he began to understand the real meaning of the term ‘meritocracy’ and recognized that lack of access in the technology space was creating a permanent underclass in communities of color. That experience literally changed the course of his life.
Hajj is the founder of Brand Camp® University, an educational platform that is preparing people for the future of work. In 2017 he launched Rebrand Cities, a global civic design initiative with the audacious goal to get 10,000 businesses online and eradicate the digital divide.
He has worked with clients including Cadillac, Walt Disney, AT&T, WordPress.com, Pitney Bowes, Pfizer, the Detroit Lions, and the U.S. Department of Defense.
He has had the privilege of being an invited speaker at Harvard University, Iowa State University, University of Michigan—Ross School of Business, Davidson College, among others; as well as being featured in the Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, Mashable and CNN Tech Money on the subjects of startups, digital technology and branding.
In his free time, Hajj enjoys training for his next half marathon, as well as spending time with his wife and daughter in the Detroit metro area.
